Help us reach families who need free feeding supplies—share our mission today!

What is a blue disc and why is it important?

The blue disc is a small but essential part of Dr. Brown’s® specialty feeding system. It helps regulate milk flow, which is critical for babies with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other feeding challenges. Without it, safe and effective feeding can be difficult or impossible. The problem is, these discs are easy to lose or become damaged, not sold separately, and hard to access for a lot of families. That's where we come in.

This is amazing! How can I help?

You can support The Blue Disc Project in a few simple ways:

Share our mission on social media, in local communities, and with cleft clinics and hospitals so families who need help can find us.

Buy merchandise from our web store - every purchase helps fund shipping and supplies.

Give a monetary gift at givebutter.com/thebluediscproject to help cover shipping, outreach, and operating costs.

Every share, purchase, and donation helps us reach more families and get feeding supplies where they’re needed most.

How do I request blue discs for my family?

Families can request blue discs through our website. When available, we ship them at no cost. If we are temporarily out of supply, we encourage families to check back and continue sharing our mission so we can reach more donors

Is there a cost to receive supplies?

No. When available, blue discs are provided completely free of charge. Our goal is to remove financial barriers so families can focus on feeding their baby. If you would like to help support financially, you can make a donation here.

Where do I mail blue discs?

Discs may be mailed in an envelope or small box to PO BOX 67 New Baltimore, MI 48047

How long does shipping usually take?

Shipping times vary depending on location and availability, but we aim to send supplies as quickly as possible once requests are fulfilled.

What happens if you're out of blue discs?

If we’re out of stock, requests may be paused temporarily. This is why sharing our mission and donating blue discs is so important—it helps us keep supplies flowing to families in need.

Are the blue discs sanitized?

Yes. All donated blue discs are carefully cleaned and sanitized before being redistributed. We also ask families to clean and sterilize the discs again upon arrival and to use them at their own discretion and risk, just as they would with any reused feeding supply.

Do you send discs internationally or just in the U.S.?

We help both in the U.S. and internationally. The Blue Disc Project ships discs to families around the world whenever possible. Feeding challenges don’t stop at borders, and neither do we.

Can I send you my bottles, nipples, or other supplies too?

At this time, due to funding limitations, we are only accepting Dr. Brown’s® blue discs. As The Blue Disc Project continues to grow, our long-term goal is to expand and provide complete feeding systems to families who need them most

Are you a 501(c)(3)?

Not yet. The Blue Disc Project is currently in the process of becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. At this time, donations are not tax deductible, but every contribution still goes directly toward helping families access essential feeding supplies.

What are your future goals?

As The BlueDisc Project grows, our goal is to expand beyond blue discs and eventually provide complete feeding systems to families worldwide.
